Student Testimonials

"I went from just playing by feel to understanding keys, theory, and really becoming a bass player instead of a bass owner." — Jesse R.
"I've had numerous bass teachers, and Seth is by far the best one." — Brandon S.
"Seth reads the student well and tailors his instruction to the needs and abilities of the individual; no cookie cutter lessons here!" — Carl S.
"My lessons are the highlight of my week and his unique teaching style really makes the experience fun. I really could not speak higher of him and the quality of the work he does. Don't think just do it. It's worth it." — Cameron S.

Why Study with Seth?

"He plays solo bass guitar like Victor Wooten, sings songs like John Mayer and Ani DiFranco, and performs with the intensity of Martin Sexton. He's a freak of nature, and he's phenomenal."

— Ocean City Beachcomber

Seth left RCA band Vertical Horizon in 1998 — right on the brink of their multi-platinum success — choosing instead to perform his songs solo on bass rather than follow the conventional acoustic guitar path. He toured the USA non-stop through 2005, then traveled the world from 2006–2008 as the international masterclass clinician for Warwick Bass Guitars.

He received the Nevada Arts Council Fellowship Endowment Grant in 2007 for excellence in performance and composition, and has been featured in Bassics Magazine, Bass Frontiers Magazine, and Bass Musician Magazine. In 2011, he co-founded the "I'm In The Band" Summer Institute — a rock camp offered through the Rochester Contemporary School of Music.

With over 25 years of playing in just about every situation imaginable, Seth has helped a wide range of students reach their goals: teenagers learning their first Green Day songs, hobbyists looking to sit in on local blues jams, intermediate players tackling advanced techniques, and professionals preparing for college auditions and tours.
